PC Studia presents the ‘Water-soluble cross-stitch kits’. The entire design is printed on 11 ct Aida fabric (4,3 st/cm). So you can see instantly how big the design will be. And the color symbols are printed exactly on the crosses.
You use 3 strands of embroidery floss for cross stitch and 1 or 2 for backstitching. The legend color symbols is also printed on the fabric together with the numbers corresponding to those on the cardboard thread card. This makes it impossible to use the wrong thread color when stitching.
After the embroidery is stitched entirely you lay the whole cloth in lukewarm water with detergent. Depending on the size of the embroidery, it takes an average of 1 to 2 hours before all of the pre-printed has disappeared. Rinse well with clean water and lay out the embroidery flat to dry. If after the drying still some color have leaked, you can put it in water again and repeat the process. Now you can frame your design for a beautiful finish!
List description
Waterlilies A 12-ply, hand-dyed variegated silk thread. Skein 5,5 meter. Despite frequently rinsing and drying, remants of colour can remain behind. This mainly occurs with deep red and blue dyed threads. Therefore we strongly advice you to wash these threads in warm soapsuds and rinse until the water stays clear. Leave the threads drying on a towel. After embroidering you can wash your work without discoloration. The threads of The Caron Collection are colourfast.
